Our data handling policy is in full compliance to EU regulation 2016/6791, the European Union’s new General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’), which regulates the processing of personal data relating to individuals in the EU. This policy is applied to any person data, independent of the persons origin.

Security of Your Data on our System

This website and the online store is run on our own dedicated server and is maintained by ourselves. We do not use any e-commerce services on other platforms or process data with any other e-commerce service providers. This means, that no third party has direct access to the personal data you give us, or any data you generate on our system.

The webserver and all associated software used to process and store personal user data is constantly kept up to date and security patches are applied as soon as they become available. Additionally our server and e-commerce platform is secured by multiple state of the art firewalls and security systems.

To ensure any data you enter on our website is 100% secure, all the web pages on our website are secured with state of the art SSL encryption (https). No data between your browser and our server will ever be transmitted unencrypted! The encryption is attested via DST Root CA X3 SSL certificate issued by the “Let’s Encrypt” authority to LineGrip Corp. Ltd. State of the art SSL encryption is also applied whenever your data is transmitted to our service partners (payment gateways and shipping providers) for the purpose of processing your orders.

Our data breach procedures

In the event of a data breach, we will immediately inform any user whose data might have been affected about the point in time and the extent of the data breach. In suspicion of a criminal motivated intrusion of our system with potential private user data theft by third parties, we will also press charges with the relevant authorities, and inform the affected users about this measure. At the same time our system will be locked down against external access until the security vulnerability or exploit that led to the data breach has been identified and fixed.

Your personal data belongs to you!

At any given time you have the right to:

  • request a report of information we have stored about you
  • request an amendment of information stored about you
  • request the deletion of any or all information we have stored about you
  • request the transfer of your personal data to other entities
  • restrict the processing of your personal data

Any such request may be issued via our privacy contact form or the dedicated email address listed there. After issuing a request, we will contact you within 1 week to verify your identity before executing any action on your personal data.

Processing of personal data
What we share with others and why

Any personal data collected within the scope of our website is used only for handling and processing of your requests, comments and orders. By registering on our website, entering your personal data, and placing an order in our shop, you give us your consent to use your personal data for the execution of this order or for the publication of your comment/review. Your personal data will never be used in any way for the purpose of advertising and marketing, or for the creation of such electronic services. Your data will not be passed on to third parties at any time, except for the execution of your order, such as:

  • transmitting your shipping relevant data to parcel service provider for the process of shipping your order
  • transmitting your billing relevant data to your selected payment provider (e.g. PayPal, Stripe) during the checkout process (see below for details)

or if we are obliged to reveal and pass the data by law or by a court order to governmental organizations.

Visitors to our website are able to register to use our services and make a purchase. When you register, you will provide personal information such as name, address, email, telephone number and other potentially billing relevant information, such as a VAT-Number when applicable. If you are making a purchase, we will request financial information related to your transaction. Any financial information we collect is used only to bill you for your purchase. This information may be forwarded to your credit card provider, or a credit card billing service, such as STRIPE, or another payment provider you selected, such as PayPal. We will not disclose personally identifiable information we collect from you to third parties without your permission except to the extent necessary, including: to fulfill your requests, to protect ourselves from liability, to comply with the terms and conditions of our internet host provider.

What data we collect and store about you and why

While you visit our site, we may track:

  • Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
  • Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
  • Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

We will use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site (see cookie section below).

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

  • Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
  • Process payments and prevent fraud
  • Set up your account for our store

If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and/or for as long as we are legally required to store it. For example, we are legally obligated and will store order information for 10 years for export, tax, and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them. When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. All of this data is handled with the same discretion and care as personal data.

Payments / Purchases

In any case we will not store any payment relevant data without your prior explicit consent. No credit card or bank account data will be collected by our website or stored on our servers, with the exception of the last 4 digits of your credit card, if you choose to have our system store this for your convenience for future payments. All credit card data is transmitted via highest standard SSL encryption and explicitly only handled by the secure Stripe-Server!

Processing and validation of EU VAT-Numbers

When you enter your EU VAT-Number in the suppled VAT-Number form field, our system will validate this number with the official EU VAT Information Exchange System (VIES). For this purpose your VAT number and the country you specified is transmitted to the VIES server via SSL encrypted data connection. This is only done for verification purposes and none of this information will be stored on the VIES servers.

Contact forms

If you submit data via a contact form on our site, we will store the data submitted through that form for the period of time needed to process your request. None of this data, especially phone numbers and email addresses will be accumulated or collected in any form of database and none of this information or data will ever be used for marketing or advertising purposes.

Revocation of the storage of your personal data

You can revoke your consent for the storage of your data at any time with effect for the future and request us to delete your personal data from our systems via our privacy contact form or the dedicated email address listed there. After issuing a deletion request, we will contact you within 1 week to verify your identity before executing any action on your personal data.

Potentially Personally-Identifying Information

We also collect so called “potentially personally-identifying information” like IP addresses to protect us and our users against fraud and/or hacker attacks. We do not use such information to identify visitors, however, and do not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that we use and disclose personally-identifying information, as described within this document.

Supplemental person specific data or information

We do not supplement any user data or information to your user account over the scope of data you have provided yourself. No additional person related data will be stored, other than the data which is visible to you via your user account page.

Who (on our team) has access to your data

Only members of our team have access to the information you provide us – exclusively! For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

  • Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information

Our team members have access to this information to fulfill orders, process refunds and support you. No one else is ever granted access to any of your personal data!

Cookies

Cookies to store user settings of website functionality

Some settings you specify to change the behavior and display of information through the website, such as your country, and the preferred currency, are stored by your browser in a “cookie” (small text file) on your device. This is done for your convenience, so you need not repeat your settings on each new page or on your next visit. We do not collect or store these informations in any way. The cookie is simply to enable your browser to tell our website “Hey, I was here before and I’d like to have this configuration set”.

Our policy for protecting your online privacy

We will never (and will not allow any third party to) use the statistical analytics tool to track or to collect any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of visitors to our site. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Neither we nor Google will link, or seek to link, an IP address with the identity of a computer user. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any Personally Identifiable Information from any source, unless you explicitly submit that information via a fill-in form on our website.
