What is Log Pre-Capture rec time?
The Pre-Capture feature will enable you to see what happened just before the log started recording.
Pre-Capture rec time is the amount of time that will be added to the beginning of the log. It contains values (data points) that occured before the log was started by the defined start parameters.
E.g. the log start trigger is set to 10kN, the log length is defined as 10 seconds, and Pre-Capture is set to 3 seconds. As soon as the LOG is set to ON the LS3 will start to record values in the pre-capture stack. Once the log start trigger starts the log the LS3 will take the specified amount of time from the stack, and then add the log data to this. Once the log is finished it will consist of 3 sec. pre-capture data and 10 sec. log data, thus it will be 13 seconds long. This log is then saved in the next free log slot.
