“WARNING! Operate carefully in the Service Menu!
Wrong settings can render the LS3 inoperative!
Please note: There is NO factory reset option for the CALIBRATION!
If the calibration process is conducted with invalid values or without
a true calibrated reference, the LS3 wil no longer show accurate loads.
A professional calibration with a calibrated tensile machine will be needed
to restore LS3 function.”

This message is always displayed for 3 seconds when entering the “Service” menu.
It is not per-se dangerous to operate in this menu, only the calibration procedures should be executed with great care, else the LS3 might seem to function properly but may show wrong values either in the whole load spectrum, or in the load spectrum that was mis-calibrated.
There is no other way than re-calibrating the LS3 with a calibrated tensile machine to make it precise again. Miscalibration can not damage a LineScale, except if it was done at extreme overload values.
