Need for periodic calibration

LineGrip Knowledge-Base:

We don’t recommend any specific calibration interval because the type of use and the precision requirement determines when and if the LS3 must be re-calibrated.
When only used clearly below the WLL of 30kN (e.g. max load 15kN) experience shows that such an LS3 must not be re-calibrated even after heavy use for several years. We’ve seen many units that were still precise up to 1% of applied load.
Units that are regularly “tortured” to 30kN+ loads, and see very high peak loads, and shock loads are sometimes off by 2-3%, and should be re-calibrated if this deviation is not acceptable.
