LS3 does not show “0.00” when idle (unloaded)

It is possible for the “idle zero” to drift off over time. This is no reason to re-calibrate! This might be due to a temperature change while the LS3 was switched off (it can’t compensate when off), or due to VERY slow load changes during the last operation (<1 kgf per second are “ignored”).
There is a specific function in the Service Menu used to reset the idle zero: “Set absolute zero”.
It’s the first item in the menu, press ZERO, toggle “No” to “Yes” with the up arrow, and confirm with ZERO.
The LS3 must be unloaded/idle, and best placed on a flat surface to set the abs. zero. This will also reset the user defined zero for REL mode.
NOTE: This function can be used as often as needed, any time it’s required! It does NOT affect calibration!
Most users do this after unpacking the LS3 before rigging it in the system.
